Front-Mu of the Heart

Clinical notes

As the Front-Mu point of the Heart, Juque is a primary point for disorders of the Heart and spirit, especially those involving phlegm or rebellious Qi. It is classically indicated for acute, severe conditions like chest pain, palpitations, mania, and syncope. Its proximity to the stomach also makes it effective for rebellious Stomach Qi, such as severe vomiting, hiccups, and acid reflux, particularly when these symptoms are accompanied by anxiety or other shen disturbances.
