DU5 (Xuanshu, “Suspended Pivot”) is an acupuncture point on the Governing Vessel Meridian. It is located on the posterior midline, 1.5 cun superior to the tip of the coccyx, at the level of the third sacral posterior foramen. It benefits the lumbar spine, regulates the intestines.
