DU10 (Lingtai, “Spirit Tower”) is an acupuncture point on the Governing Vessel Meridian. It is located on the back, in the depression below the spinous process of the 6th thoracic vertebra. It clears heat, alleviates cough, and calms the spirit.

Oblique insertion superiorly 0.5-1 cun. Caution: pneumothorax.
