Medical Disclaimer
qiboo.ai is an evidence and education resource for practitioners, students and researchers. It does not give medical advice, and it does not diagnose or treat anyone.
If you are a patient, please talk to your own doctor or licensed practitioner about your health, and before you start, stop or change any treatment.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number straight away (112 in Türkiye and the EU, 911 in the US).
1. What qiboo.ai Is For
Content on qiboo.ai, including study summaries, evidence grades, educational material and AI-generated answers and notes, is for education and information. It does not replace the judgement of a qualified, licensed clinician who knows the patient.
qiboo.ai is not a medical device. Mentioning a treatment, practitioner or product on qiboo.ai does not mean we recommend or endorse it.
2. Research Summaries and Evidence Grades
Our summaries simplify published research and may leave out details that matter. Evidence develops over time, and evidence grades are a guide rather than a final verdict. Read the original publication before you act on a finding.
3. AI-Generated Content
Answers, study appraisals, patient information notes and other AI-generated content are produced with Google's Gemini models through Google Cloud Vertex AI. Every AI tool states on screen that its output is generated by AI, and every page of our PDF documents carries a notice that it was prepared with AI assistance. AI-generated content can be wrong or incomplete, so check it against the original sources. Practitioners keep full clinical responsibility and should review and adapt any patient information note before giving it to a patient. Do not enter information that identifies a patient (see section 5 of the Terms of Service).
4. Acupuncture Safety
Acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and related techniques carry real risks, including infection, bleeding, fainting, nerve or organ injury and pneumothorax (collapsed lung). They should be performed only by practitioners who are trained, licensed and insured where they practise. Safety notes, needling depths and angles, and contraindications on qiboo.ai (including notes on pregnancy and forbidden points) are educational summaries: they are incomplete by nature and do not replace formal training and supervision.
5. The Practitioner Directory
A practitioner directory listing is neither a recommendation nor a referral. We review applications before publishing listings, but this review does not confirm a practitioner's clinical competence or qualifications.
6. No Practitioner–Patient Relationship
Using qiboo.ai does not create a practitioner–patient relationship, or any other healthcare relationship, between you and qiboo.ai or anyone associated with it.
7. Local Rules
Who may practise acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and within what scope, differs from country to country. You are responsible for following the laws, scope-of-practice rules and licensing requirements where you work.
8. External Links and Sources
We link to studies and articles on other websites, such as PubMed, journal websites and news sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. qiboo.ai is independent: PubMed, the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the journals, publishers and news outlets we reference are not affiliated with qiboo.ai and do not endorse or sponsor it. Their names are used only to identify sources. Rights holders can find our process in the Copyright & Takedown Policy.
9. Liability
Our liability is governed by section 11 of the Terms of Service.
10. Updates and Questions
We may update this disclaimer; the date at the top of the page shows the current version. For questions, email [email protected] or use our contact page.
