Clinical notes

Ren 5 is the Front-Mu point of the Sanjiao, making it crucial for regulating water metabolism and addressing edema, especially in the lower jiao. It is historically known as the 'Stone Gate' and is traditionally contraindicated in pregnancy due to its strong action on the uterus and lower abdomen. It is primarily used for conditions like abdominal distention, urinary retention, and amenorrhea due to qi stagnation or cold accumulation.
