REN2 (Qugu, “Curved Bone”) is an acupuncture point on the Conception Vessel Meridian. REN2 is located on the anterior midline of the lower abdomen, at the superior border of the pubic symphysis. It regulates the lower jiao and benefits the bladder.

Needling

Perpendicular insertion 0.8-1.2 cun. Caution for the bladder when full.

⚠ Pregnancy: avoid — may stimulate uterine contraction (miscarriage / early-labour risk).
⚠ Have the patient void first — do not needle a full bladder.
