LU4 (Xiabai, “Clasping White”) is an acupuncture point on the Lung Channel of Hand Taiyin Meridian. LU4 is on the medial aspect of the upper arm, 4 cun inferior to the anterior axillary fold, 1 cun inferior to LU3, between the biceps brachii muscle and the humerus. It regulates Lung Qi, alleviates cough and pain.

LU4 is primarily used to regulate Lung Qi and alleviate cough and pain in the chest and arm. While less frequently used than other Lung points, it can be effective for persistent cough and asthma, especially when there is a sense of oppression in the chest. Its location makes it useful for local pain in the upper arm. It is a good supplementary point for harmonizing Lung function.
