TB17 is a primary point for ear disorders, including tinnitus, deafness, and otitis media, due to its proximity and ability to dispel wind and clear heat from the ear region. It is also highly effective for facial paralysis, mumps, and toothache. Its strong action in dispelling wind makes it a key point for external wind invasions affecting the head and face, often paired with GB20 for wind-heat symptoms.
