Clinical notes

As the Jing-River (Fire) point, ST41 is a primary point for clearing excess heat from the Stomach meridian, manifesting as facial swelling, toothache, or mania. It is also significant for calming the Shen, particularly in cases of agitation, insomnia, or emotional disturbance due to Stomach heat. Its location on the ankle makes it useful for local pain and swelling. It is often paired with PC6 for nausea and vomiting.
