HT7 (Shenmen, “Spirit Gate”) is the Yuan-source point of the Heart Channel of Hand-Shaoyin Meridian. It is located at the ulnar end of the transverse wrist crease, in the depression between the pisiform bone and the ulna, on the radial side of the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon. It calms the spirit, regulates Heart Qi, clears Heart heat.

It is the command point for all emotional and mental disorders, including insomnia, anxiety, depression, poor memory, and fright. It effectively clears Heart heat, addresses palpitations, chest pain, and regulates Heart qi. Its broad influence on the spirit makes it a cornerstone in treating a wide array of psycho-emotional imbalances, often paired with PC6 for comprehensive cardiac and emotional support.
