SI12 (Bingfeng, “Grasping the Wind”) is the Meeting point of SI, GB, LI, SJ point of the Small Intestine Channel Meridian. It is located in the center of the suprascapular fossa, directly superior to SI11, in the depression when the arm is lifted. It activates the meridian and alleviates pain.

Needling

Perpendicular or oblique insertion 0.5-1.0 cun. Caution: Pneumothorax.

⚠ Pneumothorax risk: oblique/shallow only, never deep perpendicular over the chest wall.
