KI25 (Shencang, “Spirit Storehouse”) is an acupuncture point on the Kidney Channel Meridian. It is located on the chest, in the second intercostal space, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline (Ren Mai). This point is located 1.6 cun inferior to KI24 (Yuzhong). It descends rebellious Qi from the Lungs and Stomach, unbinds the chest, and calms the Spirit.

Needling

Oblique or transverse insertion 0.3-0.5 cun, directed along the intercostal space. Deep perpendicular insertion carries a risk of pneumothorax.
